About the Author

Monica D. Barrois' first career as a teacher in New Orleans, LA. spanned 13 years. She taught Pre Kindergarten and 3rd - 8th grades. 

She joined her husband in a family business venture for a brief period before starting a successful career as a sales/ training manager at a major corporation. 

Upon retirement, she fulfilled a dream and a promise to her Grandson that she would write a children's book with a character who looked like him. " Squirrelly Squirrels" is the result of that promise and her first book. 

Ms. Barrois is a member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators and is currently working on her second children's story. She has numerous stories in progress for adult audiences  and will follow wherever her spirit and imagination takes her.
